[Okay, a few things. Deaf people sign in broken English. They don't do, 'the's, 'it's, etc. Therefore, it all kinda looks funny, but it gets the point across, for example, "How-you?" instead of "How are you doing?" Also, the signs will be bolded and italicized. And when Frank writes, it'll be underlined and italicized. I think that's everything so... Enjoy! :3]

Frank sighed, looking Ray in the eye. "No." he mouthed, his eyebrows furrowed. Ray blushed in embarrassment. Frank held up a fist with his thumb on the side, making sure it wasn't laying on top of his other fingers. He faced it toward Ray, showing him how to hold it up. With his other hand, he pointed to the letter 'A' on the ABC chart he brought with him to Ray's house.

"Ohh!" Ray exclaimed, copying Frank's movements. Frank beamed and nodded quickly, happy with him. Ray smiled wide right back, feeling accomplished. It may have been his first ASL lesson, but it felt good to be able to get to speak with Frank a lot easier.

Frank smiled at him, proud, signaling to move on. Ray nodded.

Frank held up five fingers, Ray doing the same. He squished his fingers together and laid his thumb down so it was touch his palm softly. He pointed to the letter 'B' on the ABC chart. Ray copied him, catching on quickly.

As the next couple of hours went on, Ray had learned quite a bit. He learned how to sign the entire alphabet and how to sign, 'good', 'bad', 'happy', 'sad', and a few other things. For now, at least. Frank waved his hand in front of Ray's face to get his attention and signaled that he wanted something to write with. Ray got a notepad and a pen, handing them to Frank.

" Good job today :3 I'm proud of you, Ray. You're learning quickly. Now that you know a few signs, practice them all the time! The more you sign them, the more you're bound to remember (: Every time you learn a new sign, I want you to sign it five times, at least. Okay? C: "

Ray read it and smiled. He squished his fingers together, except his thumb and placed it on his chin, moving it in a "blowing a kiss" motion. Thank you. He signed.

Frank beamed and did the same sign in return. You're welcome.

Ray tried out his first sentence, signing slowly. You-want-stay-night? he signed. It was Friday and he had a new friend, why not introduce him to his parents? Frank beamed, happily. He began writing again.

" Sure! Thanks! Let me ask my mother real quick (: " He pulled out his phone and texted his mom. After a few minutes, it vibrated, making him jump and he looked at Ray, happily. Frank pointed to his phone, indicating his mother, then, made a circle in front of his mouth with his pointer finger, he ended with a fist, moving his wrist so the fist moved up and down. She-say-yes.

Ray beamed and held up a finger, saying hold on. He pulled out his own phone and called his own mother. "Hey, mom? Yeah, can my new friend stay the night tonight? Yes, you can meet him." Ray chuckled. "Yes, I'll turn the oven on for dinner. Okay. Bye." He smiled at Frank and nodded. They both giggled, Frank's laugh softer than Ray's.

Turns out, Frank's a fucking wizard when it comes to video games. He beat Ray at every game they played. And Frank's mother dropped off an overnight bag for him. He said hi to her made small talk, but she ended up having to go to work. After a little bit more gaming, Ray's mother came home and she went up to Frank, rambling off a bunch of nonsense about how she was sorry she was late and how she had to stop by the grocery store and blah blah blah.

Ray ran up to her and stopped her, noticing how confused and frightened Frank looked. He's not used to people coming up to him like that.

Oh yeah, Ray never told his mother that Frank was deaf.

"Ma! Stop it, you're scaring him." Ray frowned. Mrs. Toro looked at Ray confused.

"What are you talking about? How could I scare him?" She asked, offended.

"Ma, Frank is deaf." He sighed, looking down at his mother. He towered over both of them.

His mother's eyes widened, her cheeks heating up in embarrassment. "Oh, my god, I am so sorry, Frank." She said, frowning. Ray interpreted everything his mother said to the best of his ability.

Frank watched Ray sign and smiled warmly. It-OK. Frank signed back.

"He says it's okay." Ray informed his mother.

She watched their hands' movements in awe. "What is that you're doing?"

Ray pointed his fingers to one another and moved his forearms in a circular motion, then made 'L's with his hands and wiggled them, moving outward. "It's sign language, ma. ASL, to be exact." Ray smiled, signing and speaking at the same time. Frank nodded and smiled wide.

"Oh. That looks beautiful." She smiled. Ray interpreted what she said for Frank, smiling.

Frank blushed a little and signed, "What-for-night-food?" Ray smiled.

"He wants to know what's for dinner." Ray said. She said they were having some really long Spanish food-name, poor Ray having to fingerspell the entire thing. Fingerspelling was his weak point, it was damn hard.

While Ray's mother was cooking the boys went back upstairs to Ray's room, waiting for dinner to be done.

Frank looked over at Ray and signed, as simply as he could. Ray. You-gay? He signed.

Ray blushed horribly. He held up his hand, facing it down and moved it side to side. Kinda?

Frank smiled. He made a five-hand-shape and put down all his fingers excepted his thumb and his pinky, pointing his thumb at himself and his pinky at Ray. Me-too.

Ray's eyes widened. Really?

Frank nodded, happily, then signed. I-kiss-you-now? I-like-you. He blushed, scooting closer to Ray. Ray was as red as a tomato. He never thought this day would come.

Frank smiled at him and closed his eyes, pressing their lips together in a chaste kiss. Ray's eyes widened, but they closed slowly as he melted into the kiss. Frank was a really good kisser, and his lips were really soft. Ray's heart pounded in his ears and his stomach fluttered. They kissed for a little bit longer, both of them pulling away at the same time. They sat there frozen for a couple seconds, then broke out into broad grins, giggling softly.
